Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is determined to help bring more Spanish and European titles to the Camp Nou.
Former Barca B man Busquets put pen-to-paper on a new deal earlier this week and has already set his sights on adding to the five trophies the club have lifted since he was promoted to the team, as well as emulating Xavi and Carles Puyol by making over 500 appearances for the Catalan giants.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s trip to Hercules, Busquets said: “I still have a long way to go to catch them up and I hope they go on for many years to come.
“I could never have imagined everything that has happened since I made my debut, but I hope to go on for many years yet and to keep winning trophies.”
Primera Division leaders Barcelona cruised to a 3-0 win over Racing Santander last time out, while hosts Hercules were beaten by the same scoreline at Athletic Bilbao.
