Sven-Goran Eriksson looks poised to reject Fulham and sign a contract extension with the Ivory Coast.
The former England and Manchester City boss is reportedly one of the main contenders for the vacant post at Craven Cottage following the departure of Roy Hodgson to Liverpool.
But the 62-year-old Swede revealed the Ivorian FA were happy with the team’s display at the World Cup, despite them not advancing from a difficult group that including Brazil and Portugal.
He said: “(The Ivory Coast) were really pleased and I guess that I can stay on if I want to.
“If so, it will be for four years until the next World Cup finals.
“I’ll make up my mind in a week or so. I have to do it soon as we have friendlies coming up.”
