Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has not ruled out leaving the club when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Cottagers resisted interest from Arsenal throughout the summer, and boss Mark Hughes is keen to keep hold of the veteran Australian.
But Schwarzer, who is in the final year of his contract, still wants to play for a club in the Champions League and insists he would consider offers that come his way in January.
He said: “A lot can happen between now and January. What will be will be. If there’s an opportunity in January, then we’ll explore it.”
And Schwarzer is wary that at his age he may not get many more chances of a move to a club such as the Gunners.
He added: “This is the only time in my career I have ever tried to force an issue.
“I don’t have time on my side. If you were a 30-year-old you would walk away and say ‘fair enough, I understand’.
“But I’m almost 38 and I want to fulfil an ambition.”
