Fulham manager Mark Hughes has ruled out letting winger Damien Duff leave the club.
The Republic of Ireland international, 31, has been linked with a return to Blackburn Rovers during the current transfer window.
But Hughes, a former Rovers boss, insists Duff is going nowhere as the Cottagers look to climb away from the Premier League’s relegation zone.
He told The Sun: “I think Blackburn were trying to get in touch with me two or three weeks ago to see if there was any possibility of getting Damien but I didn't even take the call.
“So that tells you my answer.”
And Hughes believes Fulham can pull themselves clear of the danger zone now strikers Andrew Johnson and Moussa Dembele are fit once again.
He added: “All we have needed is to get key players back.
“We were playing reasonably well, we all felt that, but we weren't getting any results. It wasn't good enough in those terms, we just needed a cutting edge.
“In recent matches we've been able to do that.”
