Everton defender Leighton Baines has ruled out making a January move to German giants Bayern Munich.
The 26-year-old full-back has been in fine form for the Toffees this season, netting a stunning goal in the victory over Premier League title contenders Manchester City earlier this week, and has routinely been linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena once the transfer window reopens next month.
But Baines, who has won two England caps, insists his sole focus is on current employers Everton.
He told The Times: “I don't know too much about it (Bayern Munich's interest). I'm just concentrating on playing for Everton.
“I signed a new contract and tied myself to the club in the summer and I have no intention of leaving.
“I am not looking elsewhere. I am at an age where I am looking to step it up again.
“I want to improve some more and both the team and I can do that in the second half of the season.”
