Everton striker James Vaughan has joined Crystal Palace on a three-month loan, the Championship club have confirmed.
The 22-year-old, who has been plagued by a series of injuries, has slipped down the pecking order at Goodison Park and had temporary moves to both Derby and Leicester last season.
The Rams were reportedly interested in making a second loan swoop for Vaughan, with Sheffield United also believed to be in the chase, but the player has opted to make the short-term move to London.
A statement on Palace’s official website read: “(Vaughan) has signed in time to be available this Saturday for the away trip to Reading and will wear the number nine shirt.”
