David Moyes rules out quitting Everton

Football News Staff - 5 Jan 2011
Everton manager David Moyes insists he will never walk out on the Goodison Park outfit.

Moyes, who left Preston to take charge of the Toffees in 2002, has done a superb job on limited resources during his time with club.

But this season has not gone to plan with Everton currently just four points off the foot of the Premier League table, sparking rumours that the Scot could be on his way.

However, Moyes maintains he is as committed to the Merseyside club as he has ever been, and insits he is working hard to turn their season around.

The 47-year-old said: “I wouldn't walk away. I have been here eight years and made Europe four or five times.

“We've had dodgy spells and come through so you hope everyone keeps believing.

“Nobody knows how bad I feel the team is not in the position I think it should be. Nobody is putting in more hours than me.

“All I can do is keep putting all my energies into getting us away from this position.”
