Everton manager David Moyes admits the club may not be able to afford former loanee Landon Donovan.
The Los Angeles Galaxy star has been linked with a move to England this summer, and admitted recently that he would welcome a return to Goodison Park, where he spent part of last season on loan.
However, Moyes believes the fee for United States legend Donovan could be too much for the Toffees.
He said: “The price which the MLS (Major League Soccer) would want would be big and that might be a problem.”
