Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti insists Manchester United are still be too far ahead of his side in the Premier League title race.
The Blues gave themselves a glimmer of hope of retaining their crown by fighting back from a goal down to beat league leaders United, 2-1, on Tuesday night.
However, fourth-placed Chelsea are a massive 12 points adrift of the Red Devils, who have only lost twice in the Premier League so far this season, and Ancelotti is not expecting Sir Alex Ferguson’s men to drop many more points over the final few months of the campaign.
The Italian said: “We are too far from Manchester United. It's difficult for them to lose points in the next few games.
“We have to concentrate on ourselves and look not too far in the future.
“I cannot believe we are this far behind, but we have to be honest. This is where we are in the table, and United have played with more consistency than us.”
