Captain Shaun Derry has called for more of the same when Queens Park Rangers host Nottingham Forest today.
Rangers currently top the Championship with a seven-point advantage over fifth-placed Forest, but Billy Davies’ side do have two games in hand on the leaders.
And Derry is hoping the Hoops can extend their unbeaten home record, that stretches back to December 10 last year, to open up an eight-point gap between them and second-placed Cardiff City, and a 10-point lead over their visitors.
He told the Hoops’ official website: “I don't think that Sunday is crucial, not by any stretch of the imagination.
“But it's a big game. A lot of eyes will be on us, like when we played Cardiff a few months ago.
“We don't think it's going to be a deciding factor on what happens for the end of the season, but it's a big game.”
He added: “There will be two very confident sides going into the game. We want to keep our good home record going.”
Queens Park Rangers head into this game on the back of a 1-0 victory at Reading, while Nottingham Forest edged Watford by the same scoreline.
