QPR owner reveals Marcello Lippi 'dream'

Football News Staff - 21 Oct 2010

QPR co-owner Flavio Briatore has admitted his “dream” is to bring World Cup-winning coach Marcello Lippi to Loftus Road.

Under the leadership of former Sheffield United and Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock, Rangers have made a superb start to their campaign and remain unbeaten as they sit top of the npower Championship table.

And while Briatore insists he has no plans to ditch Warnock should QPR ultimately seal promotion to the Premier League, he has conceded seeing former Italy boss Lippi in charge of the club would be a ‘dream’ come true.

Briatore told Italian publication Chi: “Bernie Ecclestone and I have a 70% stake in QPR and we are top of the table.

“If we go into the Premier League, I have a dream. That is to have Marcello Lippi as our coach.”
