Championship high-flyers Nottingham Forest have completed the surprise loan signing of Liverpool full-back Paul Konchesky.
Konchesky has endured a miserable time at Anfield since making the summer move from Fulham, with supporters singling out the 29-year-old during their poor first half of the season.
His future on Merseyside then became uncertain when manager Roy Hodgson’s brief reign came to an end, with Kenny Dalglish taking charge of the club for a second time.
Since then Konchesky has not made a single first-team appearance, with Dalglish claiming the player needed his confidence rebuilding, and there were reports that a return to Fulham could be on the cards.
However, it has now been confirmed that Konchesky is heading to the City Ground to help Forest in their fight to seal a return to the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, Forest forward Joe Garner has completed a loan move to fellow Championship side Scunthorpe United.
Garner, who has already had a temporary stint at Huddersfield Town this season, will remain with the Iron until the end of the season.
