Norwich City v Bristol City live preview

Football News Staff - 14 Mar 2011
Norwich City boss Paul Lambert is expecting a tough time when his promotion-chasing side host Bristol City tonight.

The third-placed Canaries are flying high having lost just once in their last 15 outings in the nPower Championship, but they host a Bristol City side that has no shortage of confidence themselves following a run of four straight victories.

And Norwich boss Lambert knows his side will be made to work hard for points this evening, with only one needed for them to leapfrog Swansea City into the automatic promotion places.

He told the club’s official website: “Hopefully it'll be a good game, but it's only good if you go and win. There's no point in playing well and coming away with nothing.

“They have picked up since we played them last and you've got to give the manager credit there and obviously the board for sticking by Keith (Millen) after a bit of an edgy period.

“I'm under no illusions how hard it is and it's another really, really tough game - but we're at home and we're playing well and we'll go and try and get over this line.”

While Norwich City head into this game on the back of a 3-2 victory at Leicester City, Bristol City recorded a 2-1 win over Portsmouth last time out.
