Cristiano Ronaldo admits Real Madrid will have to be at their best if they are to beat Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
Ronaldo netted the only goal of the game on Wednesday night as Real Madrid beat Tottenham 1-0 to wrap up a 5-0 aggregate victory, setting up a showdown with Barca in the final four.
And the Portuguese knows his side face a major test as they look to secure a place in the final at Wembley Stadium next month.
He told Real Madrid’s official website: “We are happy for qualifying for the next round.
“Tottenham Hotspur are a great team, but we did a great job in both games. We've taken an important step because we're now closer to the final.
“We will face the strongest opponent of all in the semi-finals, and we must be ready. Barcelona are one of the best teams in the world, but so are we.
“We have to believe it is possible for us to beat them. We are having a good run and feel confident.
“The team that makes the least mistakes will reach the final. I hope it's Real Madrid.”
The Champions League double-header will end a run of four matches between the two teams in the space of three weeks, with this Saturday’s La Liga showdown kicking off the four-game extravaganza that also includes a Copa del Rey final meeting.
