Premier League giants Manchester United go head-to-head in a mouth-watering Champions League quarter-final showdown this evening.
United put one foot in the semi-finals when Wayne Rooney's goal gave them a 1-0 victory in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week, and that has left the Blues with the unenviable task of having to beat Sir Alex Ferguson's men at Old Trafford if they want to reach this season’s final at Wembley Stadium.
So with kick-off now just hours away, Football News is taking a look back at some memorable showdowns between these two sides.

Champions League Final
May 22, 2008
English football’s best two sides headed to Moscow for the final of the Champions League in May 2008.
Cristiano Ronaldo headed United into a first-half lead but Frank Lampard levelled matters before the interval.
Lampard and Didier Drogba were denied by the frame of the goal in the second half, and the latter was then sent off for slapping Nemanja Vidic during extra time.
The game went to a penalty shootout and Ronaldo had his effort saved, but United ran out winners as John Terry clattered the upright before Edwin van der Sar saved Nicolas Anelka’s effort.

FA Cup Third Round
January 4, 1998
Manchester United almost surrendered a five-goal lead as they dumped holders Chelsea out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage.
David Beckham and Andy Cole both bagged a brace before Teddy Sheringham netted the Red Devils’ fifth goal 16 minutes from time at Stamford Bridge.
The visitors then took their foot off the gas and Chelsea came roaring back when Graeme Le Saux lobbed Peter Schmeichel and Gianluca Vialli netted twice, but United had done enough to advance.

Premier League
October 3, 1999
Chelsea ended Manchester United’s unbeaten start to the season with a stunning 5-0 demolition of the Red Devils.
Gustavo Poyet gave the Blues the lead after just 27 seconds when infamous United goalkeeper Massimo Taibi clattered into a team-mate while trying to collect a cross, allowing the Uruguayan to head into an empty net.
Chris Sutton met an Albert Ferrer cross to head home the second before United’s day worsened when Nicky Butt was sent off for kicking out at Dennis Wise, and they fell further behind when Poyet reacted quickest to a decent parry by Taibi.
Henning Berg then turned a Gianfranco Zola delivery into his own goal before Jody Morris completed the rout 10 minutes from time.
