Champions League quarter-final and semi-final draw

Football News Staff - 18 Mar 2011
Chelsea and Manchester United will meet in the quarter-finals of this season’s Champions League.

The two teams contested the 2008 final, with United winning via a penalty shootout, and they will do battle again over two legs on either April 5/6 and April 12/13.

Whoever comes out on top will face either holders Inter Milan or German side FC Schalke 04 for a place at Wembley Stadium on May 28.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s reward for their surprising run to the last eight is a showdown with Real Madrid.

And if Spurs manage to upset Jose Mourinho’s side they could come up against the team widely considered the best in the world, Barcelona, if the Catalan giants get past Shakhtar Donetsk.

Quarter-finals (ties to be played April 5/6 and April 12/13):

Real Madrid v Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea v Manchester United
Barcelona v Shakhtar Donetsk
Inter Milan v FC Schalke 04

Semi-finals (ties to be played April 26/27 and May 3/4):

Inter Milan or FC Schalke 04 v Chelsea or Manchester United
Real Madrid or Tottenham Hotspur v Barcelona or Shakhtar Donetsk
