Werder Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf is hoping his side will continue their resurgence against Borussia Monchengladbach today.

Bremen have hauled themselves out of the relegation zone with four points from their last two games, but they are just two points above the dreaded drop zone.

And Schaaf said: “I hope we can continue this tendency.

“There has been more conviction in our game and we have been stronger and more dangerous in recent weeks.”

While Werder Bremen head into this game on a back of a fine 3-1 victory at SC Freiburg, rock-bottom Borussia Monchengladbach will have also been lifted by a 2-0 win over Hoffenheim last time out.
