Bayer Leverkusen coach Jupp Heynckes has called for a professional display from his side when they visit Werder Bremen this afternoon.
Second-placed Leverkusen need to pick up three points today to have any hope of catching league leaders Borussia Dortmund, who are 13 points clear, and at least keep some breathing room between themselves and their rivals for the runners-up spot.
And Heynckes has urged his team to put in the right display against relegation-threatened Bremen.
He said: “We would be well advised to remain level headed in Bremen and try to play there the kind of football we have been playing in recent weeks, which is good, successful football.
“Of course we will be aiming to win, without a doubt.”
Bayer Leverkusen are currently enjoying a four-match winning run in all competitions, with their latest Bundesliga success a 4-2 win over Stuttgart, while Werder Bremen come into this game on the back of a 4-0 hammering at Hamburg.
