Borussia Monchengladbach coach Michael Frontzeck insists his side can avoid relegation from the Bundesliga.
Die Fohlen have collected only 10 points so far this season but know a win at 11th-placed Nuremberg today, coupled with results going their way, could see them climb off the bottom of the table.
And Frontzeck said: “If I had even one percent of doubt that we will make it, then I would go to those in charge at the club and ask whether it makes any sense continuing our mission to avoid relegation together.
“I am firmly convinced that we can still do it with our three new players and those who were injured but are now back.
“We have a responsibility towards our club, our fans and also the city which we are all aware of.”
Before the winter break Nuremberg defeated Hannover 96 3-1, while Monchengladbach were beaten 2-1 at home by Hamburg.
