Nuremberg coach Dieter Hecking is confident his side can claim the Bavarian derby spoils when the host Bayern Munich today.
When the two teams met last November, Bayern Munich romped to a 3-0 victory at the Allianz Arena.
But with the carrot of a place in next season’s Europa League dangling in front of Nuremberg, Hecking insists they will be going all out for the win this time.
He said: “We showed too much respect at their place and there was really no need for it.
“Of course Bayern have better individuals in their team, but we have seen often enough this season how a side with good team spirit can create surprises.
“We can do that too, but only if we play as a team.
“Of course we still have the ambition to get the points we need (to finish fifth), but we also know that we have a hard run-in - harder than Mainz's.”
While Nuremberg will be looking to get their European push back on track following a 1-0 defeat to Cologne, Bayern Munich will be looking for a third successive victory following wins against Freiburg and Borussia Monchengladbach.
