Jens Keller hails Stuttgart fighting spirit

Football News Staff - 10 Dec 2010

Under-fire Stuttgart coach Jens Keller has praised his players’ approach in trying to get their Bundesliga campaign on track.

Die Roten are languishing in the bottom three but Keller believes his side’s newfound resolve can help them climb out of danger before the winter break later this month.

Speaking ahead of Friday night’s trip to Hannover 96, Keller said: “When I see how the team is currently training, then I am convinced that we will win the game and take the three points home with us.

“The players are aggressive, decisive and fully committed. Sometimes fists are flying, but that just shows me that there is life in the team.”

And director sport Fredi Bobic has also applauded the players’ attitude, saying on the club’s official website: “It is good when the players are so aggressive in training.

“That is how it should be. We need players who are motivated in training, otherwise how can you expect to do the same in games?

“I cannot read the players’ minds, but I get the impression that each and every one of them has accepted our fight against relegation.”
