Hamburg coach Michael Oenning has urged his side to forget last weekend’s 6-0 hammering at the hands of Bayern Munich.

Oenning took charge of Rothosen this week after the result led to the sacking of Armin Veh, and he is keen to get off to a winning start at the HSV-Arena.

He said: “We want to show a game which allows us to forget about Munich as quickly as possible.

And Oenning added: “We need to do our bit to bring a bit of peace and quiet back to the club.

“We have the chance to show a reaction and win back a few fans.”

While Hamburg were humiliated by Bayern Munich, Hamburg suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to Mainz last time out.
