Kaiserslautern coach Marco Kurz is desperate to see his relegation-haunted side end their winless run against SC Freiburg today.
The Red Devils have slumped into the bottom two on the back of an eight-game sequence without a victory, and Kurz believes a victory at the Betzenberg today would reignite their season.
He said: “The team is confronting the current situation and they really have a lot of desire.
“You can also tell that they are doing all they can to get some success. A win would therefore do us the world of good.
“We know that home games are immensely important in a relegation battle and we will do all we can to get a victory.”
While Kaiserslautern head into this game on the back of a goalless draw with Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg suffered a second successive defeat, losing 3-1 at home to Werder Bremen.
