Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp claims the runaway leaders can learn lessons from their defeat last weekend.
Die Borrusen suffered only their third defeat of the Bundesliga campaign at the hands of Hoffenheim to see their lead at the summit cut to nine points.
And speaking ahead of today’s visit of Mainz, Klopp admits the result is a timely reminder for his side that the German title is not yet wrapped up.
He said: “For analysis purposes, the game in Hoffenheim gave us a great deal to discuss.
“We have discussed the reasons why the game went like it did extensively.
“We now have to bring back those percentage points that were lacking against Hoffenheim and made us deserved losers there.”
While Borussia Dortmund suffered a rare 1-0 defeat to Hoffenheim, Mainz lost to Bayer Leverkusen by the same scoreline last time out.
