Bastian Schweinsteiger admits Bayern Munich must start racking up wins if they are to qualify for the Champions League.
Reigning Bundesliga champions Munich slipped to fifth in the standings last week following a defeat to Hannover, and are now five points behind Die Roten, who occupy the final qualifying spot.
And, speaking ahead of today’s visit of Hamburg, midfielder Schweinsteiger admits the squad do not want to be playing in the Europa League next season.
The Germany international said: “We still have a chance of getting into the Champions League and we have got to get three points quickly and win our games.
“We have got to ensure we get into the Champions League because you can see with all of the players that we don't want to play in the Europa League.”
While Bayern Munich’s losing run was extended to three games with the 3-1 reverse at Hannover, Hamburg were beaten 4-2 by high-flying FSV Mainz.
