Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge has agreed to join Bolton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the season.
Wanderers swooped to sign the 21-year-old on transfer deadline day after missing out on Arsenal forward Carlos Vela last week.
And Sturridge is looking forward to playing regular first-team football at the Reebok Stadium having found opportunities hard to come by at Stamford Bridge this season.
He told Wanderers’ official website: “It's been a very busy but exciting day.
“I found out that the club were interested in me over the weekend and everything has happened pretty quickly. I left my home at 5.30am this morning to drive up here and have my medical.
“Everything has gone well and I'm looking forward to playing some football for Bolton Wanderers.
“Obviously the club offers me the opportunity to play regular football and the manager has spoke very highly - he has made me want to join the club with the things that he has said.
“I've been told by a few people how great the club is and I obviously know the North West area from when I was at Manchester City, so I don't think it will be a problem settling in here.”
