Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle is keen to land striker Daniel Sturridge on loan again next season.
Sturridge joined Wanderers from champions Chelsea last month and has made a stunning start to life at the Reebok Stadium with four goals in his first four games.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti has already stated he has no wish to part with the 21-year-old on a permanent basis in the summer, but Coyle has admitted he would be interested in bringing the player back to the North West in another temporary deal for the 2011/12 campaign.
Coyle told The Sun: “As much as I am the manager here, I am also a football fan. He will get even better, believe me.
“I would love him to stay here. I have said 'come in, enjoy your football, play with a smile on your face and see where that takes you'. I would love his loan to continue next season.
“I was close to getting Jack Wilshere back at the start of the season but Arsenal had a few injuries. He got his chance there and set the place alight. Who is to say Daniel cannot do the same.”
