Bolton manager Owen Coyle has played down the injury suffered by defender Gary Cahill on Wednesday night.
The defender was replaced before half time of the 3-0 friendly win over Charlotte Eagles with a shin injury.
But Coyle does not expect it to be a serious problem and admitted he withdrew the influential centre-back because he did not want to take any risks with one of his best players.
The Scot told Bolton’s official website: “He felt his shin so we took him off as a precaution.
“We are not going to take a risk on someone of the stature of Gary Cahill and so we took him out of the fray.”
