Blackpool star Charlie Adam is worth at least £10m, claims Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who had a transfer request rejected earlier this week, played a starring role as the Seasiders went close to upsetting United on Wednesday night, creating goals for Craig Cathcart and DJ Campbell in a 3-2 defeat.
Adam has been the subject of failed bids from Liverpool, Aston Villa and Birmingham City in recent weeks, with boss Ian Holloway condemning the offers that have been made for the Scotland international claiming they are nowhere near enough.
And United counterpart Ferguson has agreed, heaping major praise on the man Blackpool signed from Rangers for just £500,000 in 2009.
He said: “We were deep in the mire in the first half.
“We just couldn't handle Charlie Adam's free-kicks and corners. We were all over the place.
“His corner kicks are worth £10million in themselves. The boy is an incredible striker of the ball.”
