Blackpool will pay the players their promotion bonuses, PFA chief Gordon Taylor has confirmed.
The Seasiders beat Cardiff in last season’s Championship play-off final to secure a surprise promotion to the top flight.
However, the players, some of which are believed to be owed as much as £400,000 in bonuses, have yet to receive their money.
But Taylor revealed they would receive the money by August 6.
He said: “I’m confident it will be paid – the club have told us.
“We are aware of the situation at Blackpool. It has been reported to the Premier League and to the Football League.
“It looks like it will be paid in the first instalment of central funding from the Premier League when it comes through.
“The players are not worried. They have been re-assured that it will be paid.”
