Rangers forward Kyle Lafferty was glad the Scottish champions rejected a summer bid from Blackpool.
The Premier League newcomers made an approach for the Northern Ireland international just before the transfer window closed at the end of the month, but Rangers ruled out doing a deal.
And Lafferty, who has hit the headlines more for his on-pitch antics than goals during his time with the Gers, admitted he never had any interest in joining the Seasiders.
He told the Daily Record: “It would be very hard for me to leave a club that I support. I know I’ll win trophies here and at such a young age, that’s hard to beat.
“I didn’t know about the Blackpool bid until the last day of the transfer window. Rangers knocked it back and I didn’t even want to speak to them.
“I’m happy at Rangers and I want to carry on at Ibrox.”
