Blackpool manager Ian Holloway expects to be in trouble with the Football Association following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Blackburn.
The Seasiders thought they had snatched a point five minutes from time when Matt Phillips cancelled out a Charlie Adam own goal, but deep into added time Brett Emerton reacted quickest to stroke the ball home after Benjani’s initial effort was blocked.
The was a hint of offside during the initial delivery into the box and Holloway also felt Gary Taylor-Fletcher had been fouled in the build-up.
But the goal stood and Holloway confronted referee Mike Dean in the tunnel after wards.
The Seasiders boss said: “I thought the referee had a poor game and he is going to report me for what I said to him in the tunnel.
“I can’t believe what he saw. I thought there was some unbelievably strange decisions out there.
“I waited for him in the tunnel. Never mind, I have got to learn and I should know better – but it is ridiculous.”
