Blackpool trialist Francis Jeffers insists he can still get goals in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old, released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season, is hoping to earn a deal with the Premier League newcomers.
And despite having scored 25 goals since leaving Everton for Arsenal in 2001, Jeffers believes he can deliver for the Seasiders should they offer him a contract.
He told the Daily Star: “I still believe I can score goals in the Premier League.
“I did it as a young lad and you have to have faith in your own ability. You never lose that knack of being in the right place at the right time.
“When Ian (Holloway) called to invite me for a trial, I jumped at the chance. Blackpool are a great club and have come a long way. I’d love to help them stay up.”
