Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is hopeful the knee injury suffered by Billy Clarke will not prove too serious.
The 22-year-old striker limped off in the early stages of the friendly against Tiverton after twisting his knee when landing awkwardly.
And the Seasiders are now sweating over results of a scan with less than a month to go before their Premier League debut.
Holloway said: “We’re hoping it won’t be too serious and won’t keep him out for too long.”
Meanwhile, the Blackpool manager is reportedly poised to offer a trial to former Arsenal and Everton striker Francis Jeffers, who was released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season.
