Aston Villa caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald insists there have been no official approaches for winger Ashley Young.
England international Young has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks, but the London club are yet to make a firm offer for the 25-year-old.
And MacDonald insists if it was up to him the Midlands club would not be parting with the former Watford player, or any of Villa’s top stars.
He said: “Clubs are going to be coming in for some of our top players because one or two of them have been tremendous.
“They have shown some great form at the start of this season. I would like to think the club wouldn’t sell them but who knows.
“If it was down to me, I wouldn’t sell them.”
