Wales manager John Toshack is fuming over a challenge on James Collins during the 1-0 defeat to Montenegro on Friday night.
The Aston Villa defender was left with a facial injury after being caught by the elbow of Montenegro player Miodrag Dzudovic.
And Toshack said: “There’s a possibility of a problem with the cheekbone or even his eye, he’s got problems inside the eye there – the retina or the cheekbone – he’s not in too healthy a condition at the moment so we just hope for the best.
“He is in a little bit of discomfort and he will have to have to some X-rays.
“That looked an unfair challenge to me... and maybe warranted a harsher decision from the referee. Something obviously happened there... those things don’t happen by accident.”
