New Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier has confirmed he is yet to sign his three-year contract.
The former Liverpool boss agreed to take charge of Villa around two weeks ago but his arrival was delayed by negotiations over his departure from his post as technical director for the French Football Federation.
Houllier finally took charge on Monday and will sit in the dugout for the first time tonight when Villa take on Blackburn in the third round of the Carling Cup.
And when asked about rumours he had not yet put-pen-to paper on his deal with the Midlands, the Frenchman said: “No, not yet but it is OK.
“The word is more important than the rest. You mean physically? No, but don’t be worried.
“This is not important – I think at Liverpool, I didn’t sign until November or December.”
