Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel insists the squad is united as they try to fend off relegation to the Championship.
Villa are just one point above the relegation zone with eight games remaining and have been dogged by reports of a dressing room conflict between the players and under-fire manager Gerard Houllier.
But Friedel has reassured supporters that the players are working hard to ensure they do enough in their “eight cup finals” to retain their Premier League status.
The American told Sky Sports News: “We've got enough quality in the changing room and we're confident to get the points on the board to stay in the Premier League.
“It's a shame we're in the position we're in. I can assure the fans that we're all pulling together as one. We're going to be taking these games incredibly seriously.
“We're determined to get enough points on the board to ensure our Premier League safety.
“In the summer we can have a look at the things that went right and wrong and we'll try and correct them next season.
“We're going to do nothing more than fight for Premier League survival.”
