Nicklas Bendtner to decide Arsenal future

Football News Staff - 8 Feb 2011
Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner will make a decision about his future at the end of the season.

The Denmark international, 23, has struggled to hold down a regular-first team place at the Emirates Stadium and has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the Gunners.

German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are one of the teams that are reportedly interested in acquiring Bendtner, but he insists he has not decided if he will move on or remain with Arsenal next season.

Bendtner told the Daily Star: “If I'm still happy then I stay, otherwise we must see what will happen.

“I mean that I'm good enough to be in the line-up.

“I will play this season to the end as an Arsenal player and then make a decision on my status in the summer.”

He added: “I believe I'm worth what is coming my way. I pay a big price with my body, my time and with never being able to have privacy when I am out.

“I don't complain about that. It's a part of being a professional footballer but it's definitely a price to pay.

“Again, I am not complaining but I love to go on a skiing holiday but as long as I have my career I can't do that because of the risk of injury.”
