Cesc Fabregas setting no timescale

Football News Staff - 1 Dec 2010
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will not rush his return from a hamstring injury.

Fabregas, who had only just returned from a hamstring problem in his left leg, was forced off during last week’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Braga when he injured the muscle in his right leg.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hopeful of having the Spaniard available to face Premier League title rivals Manchester United on December 13, but Fabregas insists he is setting himself no target date.

Writing in his matchday programme column for last night’s Carling Cup win over Wigan, the World Cup winner said: “I don’t want to put a date on my return yet, I will take my time.

“The team did really well without me against Aston Villa, so I will wait until it is completely ready.

“It is so frustrating, though. It seems when something like that happens, it all goes wrong at the same time, so you have to be strong, put everything behind you and keep working.”
