Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out making any new signings when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for highly-rated Bolton centre-back Gary Cahill, while veteran Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was also thought to be a target having been tracked by Wenger throughout the summer.
But Wenger, who brought Marouane Chamakh, Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien Squillaci to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, has ruled out making any additions to his squad unless injuries begin to mount.
The Frenchman told Arsenal’s official website: “My policy is to stick to the squad I have, we will not be on the market.
“I want to keep my squad and I want to continue with these players. We will not be on the market unless we lose some.”
Meanwhile, Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has rubbished rumours linking the Serie A Champions with a bid for Gunners skipper Cesc Fabregas.
Reports in Italy suggested the reigning Italian and European champions were planning a move for the World Cup winner, but Moratti told Ansa: “Cesc Fabregas to Inter? I believe he won’t arrive.”
